On the occasion of International Women’s Day, held every 8 March, the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy launched a campaign to make visible the machismo situations that many women continue to experience in the workplace and promote work environments free of discrimination.
Through a series of graphic pieces based on real testimonies, the campaign gave voice to women from different professional sectors who shared experiences of sexist comments, stereotypes, insults or discriminatory attitudes suffered during the performance of their work. With a direct language and a visual proposal focused on the strength of words, the initiative invited us to reflect on behaviors that, too often, continue to be part of the work reality.
With this campaign, the Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to equality between women and men, focusing on the need to eradicate machismo at work and continue moving towards safe, respectful and equal work spaces.
